this is a great addition to my creative zen!
we live in central alabama and travel down to the gulf coast and new orleans pretty regularly. we always listen to the zen, but usually when we are about an hour or so from the coast, the battery dies and we are forced to hunt through the endless stations for music - when mostly we get nothing but static.
now we can have the zen plugged into the car charger and it never runs out on us.
this was a great $5 investment to my creative zen mp3 "system". -- my zen never runs out!
Works fine for my creative zen 4gb. I Don't know how you could go wrong with this, even it only lasted a few months. -- For the Price, You Can't Go Wrong
If you are running your MP3 player through your car radio, you cannot use this charger at the same time. It creates an extremely loud buzzing noise. Useless. -- Don't waste your money
For the price you can't hardly beat this - but it doesn't fit into my outlet well and keeps working lose. This is annoying when I am in traffic and the MP3 player shuts down due to lost power.
I may tinker with it to see if I can make it fit the socket better.
It does work. -- Works, but not perfect
I received this car charger on June 23rd, 2008. I paid 6 dollars for it and I am not happy with it at all. The end that connects into the cars cigarette lighter is perfectly fine. The red light works and everything. The other end, that plugs into your music device, does not fit snugly and therefore, does not always make the electrical connection that is required for charging. I have a brand new Zen Stone MP3 player. The charger wire that came with it fits extremely snug and makes the connection required for charging every single time, but this product doesn't. After I connect the wire to my MP3 player, you can feel how loose the connection is. My charger light on my MP3 player doesn't go on. You have to sit there and carefully and delicately move the plug from side to side, until you suddenly see the charge light pop on. Once that happens (if you're lucky), don't dare touch the wire or your music device, or you will lose that connection again. I guess you get what you pay for. This piece of junk was probably made in China, like everything else. Why the U.S. couldn't build it is beyond me. I guess we can thank President Bush for instances like this. The internationalist that he is, he'd rather give all of our nation's money to other countries, when he should be keeping it all here. It doesn't surprise me that our country is in the worst shape it's ever been in. Do NOT buy this piece of junk. -- You Get What You Pay For, Unfortunetly
